Change Recruitment Group are delighted to be working on a retained basis with The Edinburgh Clinic on the search for a Revenue Assurance Administrator to join their team. This is a key role within the organisation and the successful candidate will be responsible to ensure compliance with billing policies and to manage all aspects of revenue capture, whilst building relationships with Insurance Partners.  

Role accountabilities:

  • To understand all revenue generating departments
  • Manage day to day revenue assurance, including having a full understanding of all Private Medical Insurance (PMI) schemes
  • Liaising with the wider group colleagues and insurers to ensure accurate pricing and coding
  • Ensure compliance with billing timelines at 48 hours post chargeable event
  • To continuously improve revenue capture and reporting of that revenue
  • Manage day-to-day schedule accounts, liaising with the Finance & Administration Manager as appropriate
  • Implement, review transactions and clear all transactions to agreed timescales
  • Ensure that all appropriate insurance pre-authorisations are obtained
  • Liaise with Head Office IT, making necessary improvements and manage/audit pricing amendments
  • Ensure appropriate colleagues are appropriately trained to assist with billing and carry out regular audits of charges to ensure accuracy
  • Create positive working relationships with departments, including attendance at the daily huddle
  • To document the end-to-end billing procedure into a formal billing manual for use by both current and future team members
  • To assist the wider Finance team wherever necessary and appropriate    

Key Skills and experience:

  • Experienced in a similar role, being responsible for revenue capture
  • Background working with insurance policies would be an advantage
  • Ability to look and improve existing processes and procedures
  • Highly organised with a high attention to detail
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to build relationships internal and external stakeholders
  • Excellent knowledge of Microsoft software including MS Word, Excel and Outlook
