Accounts Payable Clerk - Temp - Edinburgh - Hybrid

Change Recruitment Group are supporting the recruitment of an Accounts Payable Clerk on a temporary basis in Edinburgh with hybrid working. In this role, you'll play a pivotal role in managing accounts payable responsibilities and supporting various locations within the organisation.

You will handle essential tasks such as ensuring timely entry of invoices into the accounting system, facilitating payments within established timelines, and undertaking additional responsibilities as assigned. This position collaborates closely with the AP lead and a team of AP representatives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Foster positive relationships with vendors
  • Analyse accounts, retrieve missing invoices, and address discrepancies
  • Establish rapport with assigned areas
  • Execute tasks such as invoice entry, coding, keying, date stamping, and filing
  • Undertake additional tasks as required by the Lead or Manager

Key Skills & Experience:

  • Experience in providing accounts payable support across multiple sites/locations
  • Proficiency in reading and interpreting accounting-related documents
  • Effective communication skills within the organisation and externally with vendors
  • Ability to calculate figures, interpret payment terms, and apply basic mathematical concepts
  • Strong analytical skills and a sound knowledge of accounting and financial principles
  • Proven problem-solving abilities
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Capable of working both independently and collaboratively within a team
  • Proficient in using accounting software systems
  • Maintains composure when faced with deadlines and manages multiple priorities effectively
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
