Recruitment across Office Support and HR has remained consistent over the last month though within this we have seen a number of interesting developments.
HR and Learning and Development
While the number of roles and the number of placements across Office Support has been consistently increasing, we have seen that a majority of these tend to be of a temporary nature. That said, the basic salaries of most HR roles has been strong, with the bulk of these tending to be in the bracket £26,000 to £40,000. This has perhaps been because of the number of HR Generalist and HR Business Partner roles that we have filled recently. Interestingly these have tended to buck the trend and are being recruited on a permanent basis. Firms are increasingly looking to recruit more Learning & Development practitioners, which perhaps reflects the confidence that companies are now feeling. With a relatively strong market, firms are now feeling confident in investing in employee development and training which could explain why more L&D positions are now becoming available.
Recruitment within the contact centre space has also proven to be remarkably steady. During the last month the major point of interest is that we have seen an increase in the number of senior candidates in this market, with more candidates looking for positions than roles available in this space.
As we move into the summer months I expect as the summer holidays start from early June, we'll see an increase in Temporary Office Support vacancies.
