Accounts Manager - Glasgow (Hybrid)

Change Recruitment Group are working with an Independent Chartered Accountancy firm in Glasgow to assist them in the appointment of an experienced Accounts Manager.

This firm is a well-established Chartered Accountancy business who have been established in the Glasgow market for over 300 years! Over this time they have offered personalised accountancy services to individuals, partnerships, companies and not-for-profit organisations and created a very strong reputation in the market. Internally, this firm boasts a really strong team culture and offers excellent support and coaching through their training academy, which is not just for junior colleagues but senior leadership team too.

The Business Advisory team support their clients with compliance and advisory services which such as audit exempt statutory accounts, draft tax computations to assist the tax team, and an outsourced finance function for their clients (from bookkeeping, management accounts to an outsourced virtual finance function). They work with an exciting and varied workload and client base, including Healthcare , Hospitality, Farming and Charities.

This role has full management responsibilities including the day-to-day management of the team, a client portfolio which you will be fully responsible for and reviewing work produced by junior members of staff.  Requirements for the role are as follows:

·Must be a fully qualified Chartered Accountant i.e. ACCA / ICAS / ICAEW etc, or Qualified by Experience

·Must have a minimum of 5 years’ Accountancy experience ideally from a Public Practice background with applications welcome from Big 4, Top 10 and Mid-Tier practices

·Must have previous supervisory / staff management experience

·Strong client relationship building skills would be highly desirable

·Experience of reviewing work produced by junior staff members is essential

·A background working with Charity clients / preparing Charity accounts is highly desirable
