Change Recruitment Group are supporting the recruitment of an Accounts Assistant to join the busy team of a growing business based in Edinburgh city centre. This is the ideal role for an individual with strong experience in purchase ledger duties, looking to develop their skills and career.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Post invoices to the ledgers, matching them to purchase orders and obtaining necessary authorisations
  • Assist in reconciling supplier statements with ledgers
  • Assist in allocating incoming payments and bank transactions
  • Address queries from suppliers, customers, and colleagues, providing support for PO raising and administration
  • Assist in the regular review and maintenance of outstanding purchase orders
  • Maintain and close purchase orders as required
  • Record invoices on the ledger with appropriate approvals in a timely manner
  • Monitor and action the finance inbox
  • Update the ledger accurately and timely for all payments and receipts

Key skills and experience:

  • 2+ years experience in a similar role, ideally with focus on purchase ledger duties
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint) and financial accounting systems
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Great communication and team-working skills


Salary offered between £25'000 and £28'000, DOE plus benefits and hybrid working week.
