Assistant Accountant

Change Accountancy and Finance are supporting the recruitment of an Assistant Financial Controller to join the growing team of a business based in Glasgow. The role is well suited to a candidate with experience in producing monthly management accounts and related reports for a portfolio of clients.  

Your responsibilities will include:

• Complete management accounting pack reviews including profit & loss, balance sheet
• Preparation of accruals and prepayments
• Carry out complex reconciliations and adjustments
• Provide client technical support in the preparation of management accounts
• Client specific allocated tasks and reviews
• Assist the Financial Controllers in developing systems and process controls
• Work closely with the Finance Operations team to improve efficiency of daily income and banking processes

Key skills and experience you’ll ideally have:

• Previous experience in a finance position
• Knowledge of the hospitality industry desirable
• Part-qualified or active studier (ACCA, CIMA, ICAS) candidates are welcomed to apply
• Experience with Business Central desirable but not essential
• High level of IT literacy, including proficiency in Excel

Salary offered between £30,000 and £35,000 depending on experience and qualifications. Hybrid working week. Study support provided if required.
