Assistant Accountant

Change Accountancy and Finance are partnering with a growing company within the renewable energy sector for the recruitment of an Assistant Accountant to join their team. Based in central Edinburgh and reporting to the Finance Manager, you’ll be looking after the financial management of a project portfolio. This is the ideal position for an active studier (ACCA, CIMA, CA) looking for excellent career and studies development as study support is provided.

Key responsibilities will include:

• Preparing month-end reporting, including posting month-end journals
• Performing daily finance and month-end activities
• Supporting the preparation of budget and forecasts
• Producing monthly balance sheet and income statement reconciliations and analysis
• Responding and assisting with queries raised by internal and external stakeholders
• Supporting with preparation of statutory accounts and liaising with external auditors
• Other ad-hoc tasks as required

Requirements for the role:

• 3+ years in a previous finance role
• Part qualified (ACCA, CIMA, CA) and active studier
• Proven track record of reporting to senior stakeholders
• Experience preparing and reviewing month end journals
• Proactive and self-starter individual
