Credit Controller l Edinburgh l 27k l Hybrid & Flexible working l

 

 

Change Recruitment Group are recruiting a Credit Controller for our client’s Edinburgh office with hybrid and flexible working.  If you’re an experienced Credit Controller looking to join an established yet growing business with excellent progression opportunities and a supportive environment, you would be encouraged to apply.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Conduct credit control for the designated ledger of customers following our client’s collections policy.
  • Initiate calls to customers for the payment of overdue invoices.
  • Provide copy invoices and account statements, logging reported customer disputes.
  • Participate in weekly conference calls with the business unit to identify late-paying accounts, establishing defined actions and timelines for dispute resolution.
  • Match unallocated cash, contact customers to obtain remittance advice.
  • Escalate late-paying accounts to the Team Lead, Credit Control Manager, and the business.
  • Manage stop and off-stop status on the designated ledger of customer accounts.
  • Contribute to continuous improvements in cash collection and DSO performance.

Skills and experience you’ll ideally have:

  • Demonstrable Credit Control experience.
  • Customer service experience.
  • Knowledge of VAT and currency.
  • Finance or accounting qualification is advantageous but not essential.
  • Sound knowledge of accounting and accounts systems.
  • Proven experience in meeting collections targets.
  • Teamwork and effective communication skills.
  • Self-starter, capable of working on own initiative.
  • Ability to prioritise and manage multiple projects and/or work streams simultaneously.
