Credit Controller l Edinburgh l 27k l Hybrid & Flexible working l
Change Recruitment Group are recruiting a Credit Controller for our client’s Edinburgh office with hybrid and flexible working. Your responsibilities will include:
- Conduct credit control for the designated ledger of customers following our client’s collections policy.
- Initiate calls to customers for the payment of overdue invoices.
- Provide copy invoices and account statements, logging reported customer disputes.
- Participate in weekly conference calls with the business unit to identify late-paying accounts, establishing defined actions and timelines for dispute resolution.
- Match unallocated cash, contact customers to obtain remittance advice.
- Escalate late-paying accounts to the Team Lead, Credit Control Manager, and the business.
- Manage stop and off-stop status on the designated ledger of customer accounts.
- Contribute to continuous improvements in cash collection and DSO performance.
Skills and experience you’ll ideally have:
- Demonstrable Credit Control experience.
- Customer service experience.
- Knowledge of VAT and currency.
- Finance or accounting qualification is advantageous but not essential.
- Sound knowledge of accounting and accounts systems.
- Proven experience in meeting collections targets.
- Teamwork and effective communication skills.
- Self-starter, capable of working on own initiative.
- Ability to prioritise and manage multiple projects and/or work streams simultaneously.
