Finance Assistant l 26k - 27k l Edinburgh l Hybrid

Change Recruitment Group are supporting the recruitment of a Finance Assistant for our Edinburgh based client with hybrid (ideally 1 day a week in the office) and flexible working. Reporting to the Finance manager, you would play an important role supporting the financial administration and bookkeeping activities within the company.

If you’ve got a background in bookkeeping, a good eye for detail and strong organisational skills and are interested in joining a supportive, diverse team then you would be encouraged to apply.

On offer:

A salary range of circa 26k – 27k and a comprehensive benefits package including private healthcare, bonus, flexitime and generous pension contributions.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Draft sales invoices using Excel and record sales & purchase invoices in Sage 200
  • Assist with credit control activities
  • Coordinate invoice approval processes
  • Prepare payment runs
  • Perform weekly bank downloads
  • Conduct monthly bank reconciliations
  • Manage deposits and authorised signatory mandates
  • Handle loan documentation
  • Prepare and submit Tax returns
  • Reconcile recharge nominal codes and investigate discrepancies
  • Maintain and update control sheets
  • Process and disburse staff expenses on a fortnightly basis
  • Arrange recharges to SPVs for expenses
  • Assist with various general administration tasks
  • Respond to ad-hoc requests as needed

Key skills and experience you will ideally have:

  • Previous experience in financial administration or bookkeeping is preferred
  • Proficiency in Excel and Sage 200 (or similar financial software)
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Excellent organisational and time-management skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a team
  • Effective communication skills
