Financial Services Audit Manager

We are seeking an experienced Assistant Audit Manager or Audit Manager to join our clients quickly growing Financial Services team. Are you finding a lack of progression in your current firm? Our client is actively developing their Financial Services external audit team and are looking for Managers to coach and train the audit team, and ensure deadlines and budgets are met.

Based in either Edinburgh or Glasgow, you'll have the opportunity to join a supportive team working with an excellent portfolio of clients. Career progression is a key focus for the business, with excellent long-term prospects available.

Responsibilities:

• Effectively leading fieldwork and managing the audit process whilst liaising with relevant departments to ensure smooth delivery.
• Engaging clients and providing reliable advice and professionalism throughout.
• Constantly developing your understanding of current market trends and sharing your knowledge to support junior colleagues.
• Supervising day to day team operations.
• Performance management and coaching of junior colleagues.

Requirements:

• CA/ACA qualified or overseas equivalent.
• Good working knowledge of UK and International GAAS, IFRS, UK GAAP and Financial Reporting requirements.
• Experience of auditing within the financial services sector.
• Working knowledge of financial products, firm services, issues regarding advice and regulation and compliance, including anti-money laundering.
• Experience of systems/controls testing as well as substantive auditing, including consolidations, group audits, statutory accounts and disclosures.
