Interim Assistant Accountant

Change Accountancy and Finance are working with an established business with Head offices in Edinburgh to recruit an immediately available interim Accountant on a 6 months Fixed Term Contract basis. The ideal candidate for this position is a part-qualified (ACCA, CIMA) or QBE accountant with strong experience in preparation of management accounts and month end tasks.

Length of the contract: 6 months circa - daily rate dependant on qualification and experience.

Duties will include:

• Look after daily finance and month-end activities
• Manage accounting transactions for month and year end including  posting month end journals, cost centre reporting, inter-company reconciliations
• Produce monthly balance sheet and income statement reconciliations and analysis
• Maintain Fixed Asset Registers
• Prepare Month End Reporting with commentary
• Assist in the preparation of budget and forecasts
• Support with preparation of statutory accounts
• Assist with Audit queries

Requirements for the role:

• Part-qualified (ACCA or CIMA) accountant or similar with previous experience at Assistant Accountant level
• Available either immediately or short notice
• Strong Excel experience
• Great teamwork and effective communication

Daily rate depending on experience and qualification. Hybrid working week and flexibility offered.
