As the IRB Risk Modelling Team Manager, youโ€™ll:

Lead and Develop: Manage and mentor a team of skilled managers and model developers.

Advise Stakeholders: Provide insights on model use, impact, and implementation.

Support Business Needs: Develop and maintain compliant IRB, IFRS 9, stress test, and decision-support models.

Engage with Regulators: Support regulatory engagement and internal governance.

Deliver Analytics: Provide performance MI and develop new approaches for better business outcomes.

Manage Proposals: Oversee model proposals through review and implementation phases.

Coach Your Team: Enhance team skills in model methodology, best practices, and senior management engagement.

 

Skills Youโ€™ll Need:

Modelling Expertise: Broad experience in a modelling or quantitative function, especially in retail or wholesale banking.

Educational Background: Degree in a numerate discipline with experience in data-driven analysis and statistical modelling.

Credit Risk Models: Practical experience in developing and applying credit risk models, with essential IRB modelling experience.

Technical Skills: Proficiency in Python, PySpark, and AWS, with experience handling large data sets.

Banking Experience: Extensive experience in banking or financial services.

Risk Systems Knowledge: Broad understanding of risk systems, methodologies, and processes.

Team Management: Proven ability to manage a highly skilled technical team.

Project Management: Strong project management skills and teamwork abilities.

Communication Skills: Ability to simplify complex statistical techniques for easy understanding.
