Technology Risk Oversight Manager - Edinburgh (Hybrid 2 days in office per week)

Manager salary and benefits package including car allowance, pension and annual bonus

Do you have an in-depth knowledge of Technology Risk and be in a position to provide oversight and adequacy of risk management, policy compliance, control effectiveness, as well as incidents and projects?

Change Recruitment are working with an innovative, dynamic Financial Services client with offices based in Edinburgh and the South-West who are looking to recruit a Technology Risk Oversight Manager

You will be joining a truly diverse team of risk professionals that help keep the business safe and secure, minimising the impact of risk events on customers and enhancing the risk culture. 

  • The Technology Risk Oversight Manager is responsible for engaging with varied business units to build relationships and provide effective assurance on the execution of change delivery and oversight of the Technology function.
  • You’ll be adopting agile principles and practices and designing and undertaking control assessments of 1st line operational activities.
  • You’ll be quick thinking and confident in meetings to identify, raise and help the 1st line mitigate risks. 
  • You will review and challenge policies/standards developed by the Technology teams. 
  • The key stakeholders for the Technology Risk Oversight Manager are peers across the 2nd line Risk Function, broader business, and other control / audit functions.

Experience you’ll ideally bring:          

  • Experience operating within/testing against Technology and Resilience Risks and Control Frameworks such as COBIT, ISO27001, ISO27002, ITIL
  • Experience working with Technology, Business and Project teams to understand the finer detail and be able to apply risk and control context.
  • Communicate with confidence to key stakeholders on Technology risk findings, opinion, and actions required to strengthen controls, reduce risks, and ensure compliance.
  • You may currently be working in a Risk Oversight, Technology or Resilience Risk team.
  • You are likely to possess an industry recognised qualification such as CISM, CISA, ITIL or other audit/risk certification.
