Project Controller

Change Recruitment Group are looking to recruit an experienced Project Accountant on an initial 6-month FTC basis in Fife. Reporting to the Senior Project Controller, the main purpose of the role will be to manage all aspects of financial reporting and project accounting for key projects that sit within their European operations.

The role provides a great opportunity to work within a renowned engineering firm focusing on innovative projects within the energy sector. You will play an important role in project delivery whilst working alongside several key internal stakeholders in a business partnering capacity.

Your key responsibilities will include:

• Manage all aspects of project accounting including monthly reviews, cost budget & margin control, forecasting, foreign exchange requests, invoicing & cash flow, variance analysis
• Various month closing activities including posting accrual journals, analysis & commentary, forecast preparation
• Assist Project Controller in hedging analysis primarily for Norway, Netherlands & UK

• Submit hardware invoices to customers and drive billing progress / overdue payments to reliably protect cashflow
• Protect cashflow via the timely submission of hardware invoices
• Preparation and management of key customer invoicing

Skills and experience:

If you have...

• A strong understanding of Financial Reporting Standards and ability to translate Financial Standards in a business context
• Experience working within a multinational company
• Demonstrable project accounting experience will be essential, ideally within a relevant sector (engineering, oil & gas, energy or manufacturing)
• Comprehensive base accounting knowledge is essential
• Experience of SAP and advanced Microsoft Excel skills would be desirable
• Ability to effectively communicate and challenge a wide range of stakeholders
