Scrum Master

Edinburgh, Glasgow, or Newcastle with hybrid working

£60,000 plus bonus and benefits

Change Digital Recruitment is recruiting a Scrum Master on behalf of a nationally recognised financial services company. Based in Edinburgh, Scotland this company provide a broad range of financial products to consumers ranging from savings accounts through to loans and home insurance. As part of an ongoing business transformation programme the organisation are adopting an agile approach and are seeking experienced Scrum Masters to join.

This role can be based on locations in Edinburgh, Glasgow or Newcastle and will be responsible for working with teams of up to 10 engineers across projects in technology and lean portfolio management.

Key responsibilities:

  • Lead scrum ceremonies, remove obstacles and facilitate problem-solving, collaboration and conflict resolution to enable the most effective work delivery

  • Plan and replan software releases for medium projects as they are produced to ensure timely updates and to deliver the planned benefits as early as possible in the project or program

  • Review the backlog of work for a medium-sized project and reprioritize the work and the deployment of project resources to reduce costs and increase the value of the work delivered to the business

  • Review existing operations in your own area of work and implement innovation processes to generate new ideas and ensure continuous improvements are delivered

  • Promote an agile atmosphere within teams by emphasizing nimble action in service of constant customer focus

Experience and skills

  • Previous experience as a Scrum Master within in an Agile environment is an essential requirement for this role

  • Experience and understanding of Scaled Agile Framework would be advantageous for this role

  • Strong communication skills with the ability to engage with team members and stakeholders for effective delivery

  • Strong problem-solving skills with ability to identify issues and how best to resolve them

  • Customer focused with the ability to review existing processes and consider the best ways to improve them
