Senior Accounts Assistant – Edinburgh
Change Recruitment Group is delighted to be working with a local Accountancy firm on the search for a Senior Accounts Assistant to join their team. They offer a friendly and collaborative environment and specialise in accounting and business solutions.
The Senior Accounts Assistant will be responsible for a range of essential accountancy services, from preparing annual accounts to taking responsibility for monthly/quarterly reporting for a diverse range of clients. It’s all about making sure our clients are on solid financial ground while showcasing your skills in a dynamic and collaborative setting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare annual accounts for limited companies, LLP and partnerships
- Prepare and carry out independent examinations for our larger charities and trusts
- Attend and work at client premises, as necessary
- Build relationships with clients, dealing with telephone/email enquiries timeously, escalating queries
- Coaching and supporting junior members of the team
- Play a key role in supporting the senior management team in driving processes in improvements and strategic planning
Key skills and experience:
- Part or recently ACCA qualified or breadth of knowledge to the equivalent level essential
- Advanced accounts preparation experience and skills within Public Practice
- Good numerical and data analysis skills
- Ability to build strong relationships with clients and colleagues at all levels from a variety of sectors
- Client-driven and commercially aware
- Organised with the ability to work within tight deadlines
- Sound technical knowledge with a proactive approach to continuous personal development
- Computer literate with experience in accounts production software desirable
