VAT Manager - open to remote working

Job Title: VAT Manager (Remote Working available)

Location: Remote (ideally based in Scotland)

Employment Type: Full-time, Permanent, will consider Part-Time candidate

We are currently working with a leading Scottish accountancy firm to recruit a VAT Manager who can work remotely. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced VAT professional looking for a flexible working arrangement and a good work/life balance.

Responsibilities:

• Provide expert advice and guidance on VAT matters to clients

• Conduct VAT reviews and compliance checks to ensure adherence to regulations

• Prepare and submit VAT returns accurately and in a timely manner

• Identify VAT planning opportunities and assist with implementing effective strategies

• Stay updated on changes in VAT legislation and communicate any potential impact to clients

• Liaise with tax authorities and handle VAT audits or investigations, if required

• Provide training and support to junior team members, fostering their professional growth

Requirements:

• Solid experience in VAT compliance, advisory, and planning

• In-depth knowledge of VAT legislation and regulations

• Professional qualification (e.g., CTA, ACA, ACCA) is highly desirable

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

• Ability to work independently and remotely
