Assistant Accountant

Change Recruitment are delighted to be partnered with a highly reputable Construction Business based in Stirling. This business is seeking to recruit a temporary Assistant Management Accountant to cover a period of Maternity Leave for 12 months .

Hybrid working - 2 days WFH

£30,000 - £40,000

12 Months Contract

Responsibilities

• Involvement in month end processes and reporting timetable becoming involved across all month end tasks as time progresses and adhering to the reporting timetable
• Assisting with year-end procedures and tasks as required
• Support in the review of all balance sheet items (incl control accs) to ensure validity and recoverability where necessary.
• Understand and analyse (at a detailed level) individual project revenue and cost performance
• Statutory return updated as required
• Assisting with monthly VAT returns and monthly CIS submissions
• Support performance of Accounts Assistants and provide guidance where required.

Requirements

• Part Qualified/QBE/fully qualified
• Immediately Available
• Excellent IT skills, including but not limited to Microsoft Excel, and financial reporting systems
• Ability to work to deadlines and cope under pressure
• Construction Sector Experience is preferred but no essential
