CASS Risk & Compliance Manager - Leeds - Permanent

Change Financial Services are working with a leading asset management company to recruit for a CASS Risk & Compliance Manager. This is an exciting opportunity to join the second line risk team to provide CASS risk and compliance expertise in order to provide assurance that we remain compliant with our regulatory obligations.

Reporting to the Head of Risk & Compliance, you will be acting as the CASS subject matter expert providing advise, guidance, support and development of the CASS framework and CASS related matters. This is a newly created role which will allow you the opportunity to influence the business.

Responsibilities

• Provision of advice, guidance, and support to the business (in particular to our 1st line CASS oversight team) and to change programmes on all CASS related matters.
• Close oversight and feedback on of the operation of the CASS risk management framework, and to help identify any emerging risks
• Review of CASS breaches and audit findings, supporting the business to ensure they are robustly remediated.
• Plan and deliver our CASS compliance monitoring programme.
• Write reports and risk opinions for relevant business forums and committees about our CASS approach.
• Deputise for the Senior Compliance and Risk Manager

Requirements

• 5+ years proven experience working in a CASS role –either in 1st or 2nd line
• Strong technical understanding of the CASS rulebook, for both client money and assets, the corresponding regulatory (FCA) guidance and CASS audit standards.
• Good understanding of risk management frameworks.
• Ability to engage with multiple teams and stakeholders at all levels.
• Attention to detail and the ability to work independently and collaboratively with colleagues in the risk team and elsewhere.

Please note this role will require you to work within the Leeds office on a hybrid basis.
