Change are working with a well established Scottish Accountancy Firm to recruit a Corporate Tax Senior on a permanent basis. Based in Glasgow, the ideal candidate will have previous Corporate Tax experience and excellent communication skills.
Role Overview
This role encompasses making an effective and positive contribution to our corporate tax compliance and tax advisory services.
Duties
- Liaise with Head of Dept/Manager to deliver corporation tax returns
- Liaise with clients to obtain information and manage deadlines
- Prepare corporation tax returns, computations and schedules
- Offer advice to clients and ensure statutory regulations are understood
- Attend client meetings when required
- Research tax technical issues where required
- Manage workflow and ensure jobs are delivered on time and, where appropriate, to meet agreed completion/submission targets
- Manage and control wip on a monthly basis
- Prepare fees on a monthly basis
- Keep technically up to date with attendance at courses, personal reading and research
- Promote tax services and develop business as required
Candidate Overview
Successful candidates must be able to work within a busy office environment across a diverse client base. As first point of contact for many clients, you must be a confident communicator. Experience in corporate tax is essential. A quality approach to work is essential, along with excellent organisational skills. ATT/CTA qualification would be advantageous but not essential.
Skills/Experience
- Proven tax experience - Corporate Tax experience essential
- Proactive management of client portfolio
- Excellent day to day use of Microsoft suite (Outlook, Excel, Word)
- Strong organisation skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Enthusiastic, results driven, co-operative
- Client focussed
- Quality approach to work
- Can work effectively in a team environment or on own initiative
- ATT/CTA qualification preferred but not essential

- Based in central Glasgow
- Hybrid working
- Flexible working pattern, Mon - Fri, 37.5 hours/week
