General Ledger Accountant

Change are supporting our global client in the recruitment of a general ledger accountant. Covering a range of duties, the role will play a key part in the finance department, taking a lead on month end close and interacting with the business to ensure the accuracy of financial information. Initially on a contract basis, the role has scope to evolve and become a permanent member of the team. Key duties of the role will include;

• Responsible for month end close and general ledger validation
• Working with the wider business to discuss and understand movements, preparing commentary as required
• Review of intercompany transactions and movements, reconciling where required
• Comfortable following transactions through the balance sheet to understand and challenge where required, discrepancies as they arise
• Ownership of a range of projects and general ledger cleansing
• Strong excel and confident working with data to understand and perform analysis
• Excellent communication skills

This role will suit an individual that is comfortable working to multiple deadlines with a range of stakeholders, interacting across countries and multiple ledgers. Past experience in a similar busy role would be of benefit or working in a shared service environment.

Salary: £50,000 - £55,000

Hybrid pattern: 3 days in office
