We are looking for an experienced Payroll Administrator to manage the end-to-end payroll process for our employees across multiple locations. The role will involve ensuring timely and accurate processing of payroll, compliance with tax and regulatory requirements, and maintaining employee records. Job Title: Temporary Payroll Administrator
Location: Glasgow
Job Type: Temporary (3-6 months with potential for extension)
Hourly Rate: £14 - £15 per hour
Key Responsibilities:
- Process monthly/weekly payroll for a diverse workforce, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
- Ensure compliance with UK payroll regulations, tax laws, and other statutory requirements.
- Review and process employee data changes (e.g., new starters, leavers, tax codes, salary changes).
- Prepare and submit reports related to payroll, taxes, and benefits.
- Respond to payroll-related queries from employees and management in a professional and timely manner.
- Maintain and update payroll records, ensuring all information is accurate and up to date.
- Assist with year-end processes, including P60/P11D preparation.
- Collaborate with internal HR and Finance teams to resolve any payroll discrepancies.
Key Requirements:
- Proven experience in payroll administration (minimum of 2 years).
- Strong knowledge of UK payroll processes, tax laws, and statutory requirements.
- Experience using payroll software (e.g., Sage, ADP).
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work under pressure.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritise effectively.
- Strong Excel skills and proficiency with other Microsoft Office tools.
Desirable:
- Knowledge of payroll for multiple countries (bonus if familiar with global payroll processes).
- CIPP or other payroll-related certifications.
