🚨 Senior Compliance & Risk Analyst

📍 Edinburgh OR Glasgow | 🕒 Full-time (35 hours, Monday to Friday) | 💼 Permanent Role

We're looking for an experienced Senior Compliance and Risk Analyst to join a high-performing team that provides critical oversight across the business. In this role, you'll be hands-on in monitoring, shaping, and embedding a strong risk and compliance culture – while gaining exposure to senior stakeholders, exciting projects and emerging regulation.

You’ll be joining a small, agile team – meaning no silos, no red tape, and plenty of opportunity to get involved in meaningful work from day one.

💡 What You'll Be Doing

Compliance & Risk Oversight

  • Deliver the Compliance Monitoring Plan and produce clear, actionable reports

  • Conduct risk reviews and control testing in line with the Risk Management Framework

  • Draft and update internal policies and procedures

  • Support regulatory horizon scanning, interpretation, and implementation

  • Provide regulatory advice and respond to internal compliance queries

  • Support with FCA reporting, due diligence, and financial crime monitoring

  • Play a key role in business change initiatives and ensuring ongoing compliance

Governance & Data Protection

  • Assist in preparing committee and board papers

  • Support data protection responsibilities including subject access requests and DPIAs

✅ What We’re Looking For

Essential:

  • Strong background in risk and compliance within financial services (FCA-regulated)

  • Confident interacting with senior stakeholders

  • Excellent organisational and analytical skills

  • Enthusiastic, hands-on, and proactive approach

  • Comfortable interpreting regulation and turning it into practical action

Desirable:

  • CISI or equivalent compliance qualification

  • Experience in AML, operational resilience, CASS, or asset servicing

  • Working knowledge of data protection legislation
