Senior Risk Analyst - Edinburgh - Permanent
Change Recruitment have partnered with an Edinburgh based investment management firm in the search for a Senior Risk Analyst to join their Edinburgh team.
Supporting the Risk Manager, the Senior Risk Analyst will be responsible for performing second line risk management oversight to the business. They will be required to produce risk packs and management information reports to the support the business, support and liaise with auditors, and provide assistance with corporate governance.
Responsibilities:
- Assist the Risk Manager to develop, maintain and embed the Risk Management Framework, including management information
- Assist in developing and implementing an effective risk and compliance culture
- Work with business units and external auditors to deliver an effective CASS audit within regulated timeframes
- Support the Risk Manager in regular reviews of the business units, key business processes and the activities to ensure continued adherence to and effective implementation of policies and procedures
- Identifying, understanding and interpreting financial services legislation and regulation
- Support in drafting policies, reports/packs and similar documents
- Produce accurate monitoring reports and ensure any issues identified are addressed in a timely manner.
- Assist in the support of periodic FCA regulatory reporting requirements
- General Company Secretarial support, e.g. support keeping Authorised Signatories lists up-to-date
- Prepare minutes and issue documents for the various Committees, e.g. Risk & CASS Governance Committee and attendance of these critical committees
Requirements:
- Experience within Risk, Governance, or Compliance within Financial Services
- Experience and knowledge of FCA regulations
- Strong Microsoft Office experience including Excel (data migration, vlookup, etc)
- Experience communicating across business units at various levels
- Ability to prioritize tasks, and work on multiple projects
