Audit Manager

Model Risk Auditor - Permanent - Edinburgh, London, Bristol or Gloucester (Hybrid)

Are you seeking an exciting role in the financial services industry as a Internal Audit Manager? We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced professional to join an established and growing team in either Edinburgh or London.

The successful applicant will be responsible for ensuring that the organisation’s models used for Credit Risk, IFRS9, and IRB are fit for purpose and are being applied in a consistent manner. In addition, the Internal Audit Manager will be involved in the development of model risk management procedures and practices, as well as providing advice to business units on model risk management.

We are looking for someone with the following qualifications and experience:

• A degree in finance, economics, mathematics, or a related discipline

• Relevant professional qualifications such as CFA, FRM, or ACCA

• At least 3 years’ experience in a model risk management role, preferably within a banking organisation

• Experience with or understanding of audit processes, frameworks and techniques

• Knowledge and experience of credit risk models, IFRS9 and IRB

• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written

• Strong analytical skills and the ability to interpret and analyse complex data

• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to think both strategically and innovatively
