Credit Risk Opportunity – 12-Month Contract
Focus: Account Management / Existing Customer Strategies

We’re supporting a major financial institution in identifying an experienced Credit Risk professional to join their customer strategy function on a 12-month fixed-term basis.

Working as part of a first-line team, this role will focus on developing and fine-tuning strategies to manage credit exposure across the existing customer base, helping deliver sustainable growth while maintaining alignment with agreed risk appetites.

What you’ll be involved in:

• Shaping and delivering credit and affordability frameworks for managing exposure to current customers, ensuring lending decisions remain within appetite and deliver positive outcomes.
• Assessing new lending and trade opportunities within the back book.
• Reviewing and interpreting portfolio MI to monitor the performance of existing credit and affordability strategies, highlighting areas outside of tolerance and driving corrective actions where required.
• Exploring emerging data sources and analytical tools to enhance decision-making or improve process efficiency, preparing business cases to support their introduction.
• Collaborating across Risk, Modelling, Commercial and Finance teams to maintain consistency and control in approach.

What you’ll bring:

• Strong technical understanding of credit risk and portfolio management principles.
• Previous experience in a credit risk or analytical capacity within financial services.
• Proficiency in SAS/SQL for data analysis and reporting.
• A numerate, analytical mindset and confidence in solving complex problems.
