Finance Assistant l Glasgow l Hybrid l 23k - 29k

 

Change Recruitment Group are supporting the recruitment of a Finance Assistant in Glasgow with hybrid working and a salary of circa 23k – 29k. Supporting the Management Accountant, you will play an important role in delivering accurate and timely financial information. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Conducting daily income audits, including revenue and ledger review and balancing.
  • Processing and reviewing purchase invoices, assisting with supplier payment runs, and ensuring adherence to agreed timescales with appropriate approvals.
  • Maintaining the purchase ledger, including reconciling supplier statements, regular review of aged creditor ledgers, and addressing any unresolved issues.
  • Performing daily bank reconciliations and communicating regularly with key stakeholders on outstanding matters.
  • Managing internal and external queries by conducting thorough investigations, reconciliations, and appropriate escalation.
  • Providing key support to the Management Accountant, including regular communication on hotel portfolio matters, ad-hoc accounting duties, and assistance with month-end closing activities.

Key skills and experience you’ll ideally have:

  • Transactional finance experience is essential, with Accounts Payable (AP) and bank experience desirable.
  • Proactive self-starter with strong problem-solving abilities.
  • Excellent organisational skills, prioritising work to meet reporting deadlines.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills.
  • High level of IT literacy, including proficiency in Excel.
  • Keen attention to accuracy and detail.
  • Experience with Business Central is highly desirable.
  • Knowledge of the hospitality industry would be advantageous.
