Financial Accountant

Change Accountancy and Finance are working with an established business within the renewable energies sector to recruit an immediately available interim Financial Accountant on a 6 months Fixed Term Contract basis. Based in Edinburgh, the ideal candidate for this position is a qualified (ACCA, CIMA) accountant with strong technical experience in preparation of annual accounts and support with internal audit.

Length of the contract: 6 months circa - daily rate dependant on qualification and experience.

Duties will include:

• Prepare Annual statutory accounts, including reviewing and suggesting improvement for delivery
• Review existing finance and procurement policies
• Develop a process for managing and updating financial procedures 
• Being a key contact with external auditors 
• Work with key stakeholders to ensure financial procedures are implemented correctly
• Support the Head of Finance with developing templates for Management reporting
• Support review of existing tax control framework 
• Ad hoc support for the Head of Finance

Requirements for the role:

• Qualified (ACCA or CIMA) accountant or similar with previous experience at Financial Accountant/Audit level
• Available either immediately or short notice
• Strong Excel experience
• Great teamwork and effective communication

Daily rate depending on experience and qualification. Hybrid working week and flexibility offered.
