Senior Information Technology Auditor - Permanent - Edinburgh

We have partnered with a leading bank here in Edinburgh to support with the growth in their Technology Audit team. As a Senior Auditor, you will be responsible leading and engaging in full cycle audits focusing on Technology Applications across the Bank. As well, you will enable you to build your network at the bank, by collaborating with a broad range of stakeholders and senior employees

As a Senior Auditor, you will provide quality, efficient and effective assurance, and influence business managers to improve control as part of a digital and data-driven organisation. You’ll be assessing risks and controls and carrying out testing, as well as contributing to assurance planning and undertaking effective process mapping.

Responsibilities:

  • Engaging with stakeholders to gain an understanding of key business risks to inform the risk assessment and audit plan

  • Using your knowledge and experience to provide independent challenge on audit results, influencing stakeholders' perspectives to ensure that risks are appropriately managed

  • Contributing to audit engagement planning to identify key risks and controls, and process mapping and documenting audit test work papers to a high quality standard

  • Coaching and developing junior members of the team

  • Supporting continuous risk assessment and monitoring activities

  • Getting involved in Internal Audit wide strategic initiatives

Requirements:

  • Experience within Technology or Data Risk, Assurance, or Audit

  • CISA qualification or working towards

  • Ability to understand programming languages / codes such as SQL

  • Excellent analytical skills and the ability to assess and prioritise data effectively, quickly establishing what’s important

  • A thorough grounding in monitoring and testing effective controls

  • Excellent stakeholder management skills

  • Great communication skills, with the ability to translate concepts in a clear and concise way

Please note this role requires you to be in the Edinburgh office 1 days per week.
