Job Description:
We are seeking a (Senior) Consultant Sustainability Audit to join our Munich office. In this role, you will play a pivotal role in auditing sustainability reports, financial statements, and guiding clients towards compliance with environmental and social reporting standards. You'll have the opportunity to work with leading companies and contribute to the advancement of sustainable business practices. Here's what your role entails:
Responsibilities:
- Conduct audits of sustainability reports, annual, or consolidated financial statements across diverse industries.
- Assist clients in understanding and implementing the requirements of the Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive (CSRD), EU Taxonomy, and integrated reporting.
- Provide guidance to clients on adjusting workflows to address evolving environmental, social, and governance (ESG) regulatory frameworks.
- Contribute to the development of internal audit methodologies and thought leadership.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality audit services and provide mentorship to junior team members.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in economics, accounting, or related fields.
- Previous experience in auditing, accounting, or sustainability departments, preferably within a professional services firm.
- Knowledge of non-financial reporting standards such as CSRD and EU Taxonomy, or proficiency in financial reporting standards (HGB/IFRS/US-GAAP).
- Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication skills in both German and English.
- Passion for sustainability and a desire to contribute to the advancement of responsible business practices.
