Junior Web Developer

My client is a specialist in their field, supplying an innovative trading platform to clients across the globe.

Initially you will be migrating their existing WordPress website to Django and providing support for their back-end systems.

Responsibilities:

• Lead the migration of the existing WordPress website to Django
• Implement responsive web designs and ensure cross-browser compatibility
• Optimise website performance and implement SEO best practices
• Provide technical support for our back-end systems
• Assist with bug fixes, feature enhancements, and system maintenance
• Help monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues as they arise
• Support integration between web systems and trading infrastructure
• Participate in testing and deployment processes

Required experience includes:

• Web development experience
• Strong foundation in HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
• Understanding of Python programming
• Familiarity with version control systems (Git)
• Experience with at least one web framework (Django experience preferred, but not required)
• Understanding of database concepts and basic SQL
• Knowledge of responsive web design principles
• Familiarity with WordPress development would be advantageous
• Basic understanding of Linux/Unix environments
• Experience with front-end build tools and package managers
• Understanding of API development and integration
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS preferred), not mandatory
